- Emergency Response Plan
- Incident Reporting (to MOM).
- Under the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA), employers are required to report workplace accidents and occupational diseases to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) within the following timeframe:
- Employers can submit the report online via http://www.mom.gov.sg/ireport. Failure to comply with the above requirements is an offence. It carries a maximum fine of $5,000 for the first offence, and a maximum fine of $10,000 and/or imprisonment up to 6 months for the second or subsequent offences.
- Even if a work-related incident dose not fall within the reporting criteria as stated above, the employer should still give notice to MOM if the work injury is serious enough for there to be a possibility of permanent incapacity being sustained. For example, if a worker is unable to perform normal duties for an extended period because of injury, an incident report should still be made to MOM.
